2012 Michigan Safety Project Funding - Webinar

Safety is an important consideration for any local road agency. However it can be difficult to find funding for safety improvements such as guardrails signs and pedestrian crossings while attempting to maintain the condition of roads within a jurisdiction. In response to this problem initiatives such as the High Risk Rural Road (HRRR) Program and the Local Safety Program are available to provide funding for improving the safety of intersections and roadways in Michigan.

2012 PASER Training - Mount Pleasant

PASER Training The Center for Technology and Training will be conducting annual PASER training on behalf of the Michigan Transportation Asset Management Council (TAMC) for the current data collection season. Who Needs To Attend? Anyone who intends to participate in the TAMC PASER condition data collection during the current year on either the federal aid or non federal aid system and expects to be reimbursed by the TAMC for their effort must attend the PASER Classroom Training Session. New raters or others that did not actively rate in the previous two years must also attend the PASER Webinar Training. 2012 Cold In-Place Asphalt Recycling - Webinar

Instructor Tom Wood, a research project supervisor from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, will explain the equipment and procedure necessary for performing cold in-place asphalt reclamation. Amy Schoonover, P.E., Director of Public Works for the City of Charlotte, and Wayne A. Schoonover, P.E., County Highway Engineer for the Ionia County Road Commission, will present case studies in Michigan highlighting projects that used cold in-place recycling.
