2025 Great Ideas Challenge
The Great Ideas Challenge rewards the great work that gets done at local road-owning agencies in Michigan. What makes a great idea? We're looking for innovative ideas that improve safety and efficiency, are cost effective, and can easily be adopted by other agencies. Submit your great idea today!
Criteria/Judging
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- New (not available for purchase!)
- Safety
- Cost
- Ingenuity
- Effectiveness
- Ease of adoption by other agencies
- Savings and/or Benefits to the Agency and/or Community
Prizes
First Place
- Engraved plaque
- Free registration for two people to a CTT conference (County Engineers' Workshop, Bridge Week, Highway Maintenance, or Winter Operations)
- Consideration for the FHWA "Build a Better Mousetrap" competition
Second Place
- Framed certificate
- Free registration for one person to a CTT conference (County Engineers' Workshop, Bridge Week, Highway Maintenance, or Winter Operations)
